ABOUT
The massive development of renewable energies, such as solar and wind, is an essential lever for the electrification of uses and the achievement of carbon neutrality by 2050, a sine qua non condition for limiting global warming to +1.5 °C. Wind and solar energy are low-carbon energies whose costs are becoming increasingly competitive compared to those of fossil fuels that emit a lot of greenhouse gases.
However, the sensitivity of solar and wind power to weather conditions is a major constraint for the entire value chain, whether with regard to the stability of electrical systems and security of supply, the penetration rate of renewables into the grid and the profitability of power plants, or even the volatility of prices on electricity markets.
Steadysun develops products and offers services to facilitate the integration of solar and wind energies into electrical systems while mitigating the costs and risks associated with weather variability. This is a real challenge that we take up on a daily basis with many industrial and academic partners.
The value provided by our services meets the needs for balancing on the networks, minimizing of the investment and operating costs of power plants and storage systems, optimization of transactions on the electricity markets and maximization of self-consumption.
We support many players in the electricity value chain throughout the life cycle of their projects: network managers, project developers and energy management systems, power plant operators, micro- off-grid networks, energy traders and aggregators, research institutes.
Our key skills are based on different activities:
Power and weather forecasting
Live irradiance data
Services and consulting in renewable energy and electrical systems
Because our commitment is to participate in the construction of tomorrow’s world, Steadysun has been designing solutions and developing innovative products to accelerate the energy transition since 2013.
A product of the CEA (Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission) and INES (National Solar Energy Institute), our development is based on solid foundations whose pillars are innovation and continuous improvement.
Working to ensure that the variability is no longer an obstacle to the energy transition
